Dweezil Zappa was born as Donald Calvin Euclid Zappa in Los Angeles, California on September 5, 1969. He received his first guitar when he was six years old, and he began to have serious interest in music at 12 years old. He made his first stage appearance at 12. He released “My Mother Is a Space Cadet,” his first single, in the same year. He also contributed Sharleena and Stevie’s Spanking, guitar solos, in the album Them Or Us. Zappa also appeared in Pretty In Pink as an actor in 1986. By the next year, he appeared in the movie The Running Man, and he later worked as a VJ on MTV. His debut album Havin’ A Bad Day featured Jane Fonda, Robert Wagner, Don Johnson, and his father, Frank Zappa.
