Columbus, Ohio indie band villagerrr has officially signed with boutique agency Ground Control Touring for live music and touring representation. Agent Sydney Sanial will handle the band’s bookings across worldwide territories, excluding Europe and the United Kingdom.
Fronted by songwriter Mark Allen Scott, villagerrr began in 2022 as a solo, home-recording project before growing into a full band. The group broke through with 2024’s Tear Your Heart Out on Darling Recordings, which led to tour runs alongside Real Estate, Horse Jumper of Love, and Momma.
In 2025, Winspear, the Los Angeles label also home to Slow Pulp, Barrie, and Wishy, signed villagerrr, reissuing that album before releasing the band’s follow-up, Carousel, in May 2026.
villagerrr spent much of the year opening shows on Ratboys’ “When the Sun Explodes” tour across the U.S. and Canada, sharing bills with acts like Florry and Free Range.
Up to now, the band has largely handled its own booking, working its way onto larger tours through DIY connections before catching an agency’s attention.
The signing continues a busy stretch of new additions for Ground Control Touring. The agency recently completed similar worldwide-excluding-Europe/UK deals with Krill and Joey Cash, and also added Helen Sun to its roster under the same territory structure.
Alongside the new booking deal, villagerrr’s existing team stays in place: Terrorbird Media continues handling public relations, and Winspear remains the band’s record label.
