Dove Men+Care is doubling down on its bet on Love Island USA breakout Nic Vansteenberghe. The Unilever-owned grooming brand announced that it’s expanding its partnership with Vansteenberghe through the “Mood Boost Residency,” a Las Vegas fan experience tied to his August 16 show.
One winner and a guest will receive travel, hotel accommodations, tickets, spending money, and additional VIP experiences.
“Nic’s Mood Boost Residency brings that idea to life through music, scent and shared experiences,” said Lindsey Lapin, Dove Men+Care’s Associate Director of Marketing.
The expansion builds on a partnership that began in January 2026, when Dove Men+Care tapped Vansteenberghe to front its Mood-Boosting Aluminum-Free Deodorant Collection, four $8.99 scents built around the idea that fragrance can shape mood.
Vansteenberghe finished runner-up on Love Island USA season 7 alongside Olandria Carthen. Beyond Dove, he remains the face of swimwear label Kulani Kinis, a tie dating to 2021, has modeled for Sweetgreen and Agua de Kefir, released his debut single in February, and won the Off-Platform Buzz award at Snapchat’s inaugural Snappy Awards in March.
Dove Men+Care has previously partnered with NBA players Karl-Anthony Towns and Facundo Campazzo. Vansteenberghe’s deal reflects a broader 2026 shift toward personality-driven activations, a lane also occupied by Louis Vuitton’s campaign with Tyriq Withers and TJ Maxx’s platform starring Diana Ross, Mindy Kaling, Ilona Maher and Chloe Flower.
To enter the sweepstakes, fans must comment on the official @dovemencare or @nicolasvans Instagram or TikTok collaboration posts between July 21 and July 26, 2026, sharing the song they would play on “aux” to set the vibe.
Takeaways
This isn’t a one-off ad buy; it’s Dove Men+Care scripting a season-long arc with Vansteenberghe, moving from a product launch to a live, ticketed activation. It also shows brands increasingly borrowing concert-culture tactics (residencies, sweepstakes) to make a deodorant collection feel like an event rather than a shelf item.
And pairing a reality-TV breakout with two NBA endorsers suggests Dove Men+Care is deliberately diversifying its roster beyond traditional athlete-driven grooming ads.
Will fan-experience giveaways like this become the standard playbook for reality-TV endorsement deals? With Love Island alumni increasingly anchoring major brand deals, is reality TV becoming one of marketing’s biggest talent pipelines?
