  • Miley Cyrus has signed with Atlantic Records, ending a five-year run at Columbia Records.
  • The deal marks her fourth label home, after Hollywood Records, RCA Records, and Columbia.
  • Her team is unchanged: CAA (representation), Crush Music (management), Apex Public Relations (publicity).
  • Her tenth studio album, with a lead single, is reportedly already in the works.

Miley Cyrus has signed with Atlantic Records, ending a five-year run at Columbia Records and marking her fourth label home, Variety first reported.

Columbia released her 2023 album Endless Summer Vacation and 2025’s Something Beautiful. Endless Summer Vacation included “Flowers,” which spent eight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won Cyrus her first two Grammys, including Record of the Year.

Miley Cyrus’s label history has tracked her career shifts: she started at Disney’s Hollywood Records in 2005, moved to RCA Records for a seven-year run beginning in 2013 that produced Bangerz and Plastic Hearts, then joined Columbia in 2021.

The deal is the biggest signing yet for Atlantic CEO Elliot Grainge, who has added Sublime, Clairo, and Hilary Duff to the label’s roster. It also comes months after Atlantic parted ways with Ed Sheeran, who left for Interscope Records after 15 years with the label.

Cyrus isn’t overhauling her team. She continues to be represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in all areas, managed by Crush Music, and repped for publicity by Apex Public Relations. Her mother, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, reportedly helped negotiate the deal.

The news lands during a busy stretch for Cyrus, who marked Hannah Montana‘s 20th anniversary with a Disney special this year, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May, and just finished guest-editing an issue of Wonderland magazine. New music is reportedly already underway, with a tenth studio album in the works.

Takeaways

This is a full-circle moment for Cyrus, who’s now cycled through three of the four major label groups: Disney, Sony (twice), and now Warner, without ever really losing momentum.

Landing her right as Grainge stacks Atlantic’s roster with Sublime, Clairo, and Hilary Duff suggests the label is betting on cultural cachet across very different lanes: ska-punk revival, indie, Disney-era nostalgia, and now pop’s most reliable reinvention artist.

Is Cyrus chasing a new sound, or just better terms after “Flowers” made her one of the biggest stars in music? Will Atlantic lean into her pop instincts, or push her toward the more experimental territory she’s hinted at for album ten?
