  • Jenner says she was involved in every detail, from frame shape to the charging case, which includes a built-in mirror.

Kylie Jenner is trading lip kits for eyewear. The beauty mogul has partnered with Meta to launch the Meta Starfire (Kylie Edition), a slim oval AI smart glasses style that anchors Meta’s newly unveiled in-house glasses collection, which also includes the Adventurer and Fury frames.

The launch marks a major turning point for Meta, which has dropped its longtime Ray-Ban branding entirely for this specific line, though it continues to collaborate closely with manufacturing giant EssilorLuxottica on the physical construction and premium lenses.

The Kylie Starfire edition starts at $399, which is $100 above the $299 entry price of the more traditional Adventurer and Fury styles.

The Starfire frame comes in two colorways (Classic Black and Dark Tortoise) and features a unique, subtle gemstone detail affixed to the top corner of the right lens. The detail serves as a playful nod to the constant camera flashes Jenner faces as a public figure.

Jenner was heavily involved in tailored hardware tweaks for the fashion crowd, including requesting an adjustable metal nose bridge that makes it significantly easier to wipe off foundation and makeup residue than standard plastic.

The smart glasses also come with a completely redesigned, compact charging case that folds flat and includes an integrated mirror inside the lid for quick touch-ups.

This collaboration marks Jenner’s first venture into wearable tech. Beyond the physical aesthetics, the premium price point grants users exclusive access to an AI assistant fully voiced by Jenner herself.

While the glasses still rely on the standard “Hey Meta” wake word to activate, users can set Meta AI to respond entirely in Jenner’s voice for everything from real-time translations and daily schedule management to onboarding instructions and custom morning greetings.

The new lineup is the first hardware to ship natively with Meta’s swifter, more conversational “Muse Spark” AI model. For Meta, the move continues a deliberate strategy of pairing advanced multimodal AI hardware with culturally massive faces to firmly transition smart glasses out of the tech gadget aisle and into the everyday fashion conversation.

Jenner recently fronted a Kylie Cosmetics campaign for new face products, keeping her beauty empire visible even as she branches into wearables.

It’s also not the first time celebrities have lent their star power to AR and AI eyewear this year, following Jack Harlow, Kaia Gerber, and Jimmy Butler’s Snapchat AR glasses launch.

Takeaways

Kylie Jenner just made smart glasses look like a Chanel accessory, and that’s exactly the point. Meta ditching Ray-Ban for a Kardashian-Jenner name signals it wants AI wearables to live in the fashion conversation, not the gadget aisle. Jenner, meanwhile, keeps proving she can sell anything from skincare to software.

Will celebrity-led design make AI glasses feel less “techy” and more like everyday fashion? Could Jenner’s voice prompts make her one of the most-heard “AI voices” in the world?
