Giannis Antetokounmpo Named Global Brand Ambassador for Superpower

Celebrity Name:Giannis Antetokounmpo
Brand:Superpower
Deal Type:Global Brand Ambassador + Brand Investor
Announced:June 30, 2026
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo joins preventative health platform Superpower as a brand investor and its first-ever Global Brand Ambassador.
  • The deal supports Superpower's mission to make 100+ biomarker blood testing accessible at $199 a year.
  • Giannis's own panel flagged elevated cardiovascular risk markers and a deficient Vitamin D level, despite his elite medical team.
  • He joins existing Superpower partners Steve Aoki, Vanessa Hudgens, and the Winklevoss twins.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is expanding his off-court portfolio into preventative healthcare. The two-time NBA MVP and 2021 champion has been named Superpower’s first-ever Global Brand Ambassador, while also becoming a brand investor, the San Francisco-based company announced on June 30, 2026.

Superpower offers a preventative health membership built around 100+ biomarker blood testing, aiming to close the gap between elite athlete-level care and everyday healthcare access.

Even Giannis’s own panel uncovered blind spots his world-class medical team had missed: elevated cardiovascular risk markers and a Vitamin D level deep in the deficient range.

With his 14th NBA season approaching after recent knee and calf injuries, that kind of biomarker clarity matters for recovery and longevity.

Superpower has raised over $40 million in funding, led by Forerunner Ventures, and 60% of its members have uncovered health issues their routine care overlooked. Giannis joins a roster that already includes Steve Aoki, Vanessa Hudgens, and the Winklevoss twins.

This isn’t Giannis’s first health-and-wellness equity move. He recently became a global partner and shareholder in IM8, the David Beckham–co-founded supplement brand under Prenetics, and Superpower itself struck an integration deal with IM8 earlier this year, connecting supplementation with blood diagnostics.

He’s also a shareholder in delivery platform Gopuff, alongside more traditional ambassador deals with Castrol and Betano.

Takeaways

Giannis keeps trading paychecks for ownership stakes, a pattern that signals genuine belief over marketing fees. As athletes increasingly diversify into health-tech equity, his name attached to Superpower could meaningfully boost mainstream trust in preventative testing.

Does athlete equity ownership make a brand endorsement feel more credible than a paid ad deal? With Giannis now tied to Superpower, IM8, Gopuff, Castrol, and Betano, how much bandwidth can one athlete’s brand really support?
