Cody Martin has signed with Gersh Basketball, the basketball division of Gersh Sports, for on-court representation.

The 30-year-old forward enters this chapter after six-plus NBA seasons that began when the Charlotte Hornets took him No. 36 overall in the 2019 Draft out of Nevada.

Martin spent the bulk of his career in Charlotte before a February 2025 trade sent him to the Phoenix Suns alongside Vasilije Micic in a deal involving Jusuf Nurkic.

After Phoenix released him in the 2025 offseason, Martin signed a 10-day hardship contract with the Indiana Pacers in November 2025.

He later joined the Pacers’ G League affiliate, the Noblesville Boom, averaging 12.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists across 15 games before a shoulder injury ended his season early.

Martin was previously represented by Eric Fleisher of Assist Sports Management. His move comes as Gersh Basketball keeps up an active run of 2026 signings, recently adding G League forward Kendall Brown, restricted free agent guard Malaki Branham, and draft prospect Keyshawn Hall.

The basketball division was formed when Tandem Sports + Entertainment rebranded as Gersh Sports in March 2025, part of parent company Gersh’s broader push into athlete representation following its acquisition of Madrid-based agency You First.

Takeaways

Martin’s move to Gersh Basketball lands at a pivotal moment: he’s without a guaranteed roster spot, coming off an injury-shortened G League run, and looking to prove his two-way, winning-locker-room value still translates to NBA minutes.

Picking an agency that’s actively closing deals for younger prospects like Brown, Branham and Hall suggests Martin wants representation with momentum, not just a name on paper.

Can Gersh Basketball’s current NBA connections help Martin land a training camp invite or two-way deal for 2026-27? How does a 30-year-old veteran fit alongside Gersh Basketball’s younger, developmental client roster?
