  • Lilly and Amazon Ads debuted a 30-second campaign starring Candace Parker during a WNBA on Prime doubleheader on July 30, 2026.
  • The spot casts Parker in a string of roles (wife, mother, president, owner, analyst, trailblazer), linking her personal health story to Lilly's 150-year history.
  • The campaign follows Lilly's May 2026 "Start How You Can" push starring Caitlin Clark, reinforcing the brand's ongoing investment in women's sports.
  • Parker, a WNBA on Prime analyst, is set for induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame this month.

Lilly has found its next spokesperson for women’s sports: Candace Parker. The Indianapolis-based pharmaceutical company partnered with Amazon Ads on a new campaign starring the basketball legend, which debuted during a WNBA on Prime doubleheader on July 30, 2026.

The spot came together through close collaboration between Lilly and Amazon Ads’ creative and sports-partnership teams.

The film follows Parker through several roles (wife, mother, president, owner, hustler, winner, analyst, and trailblazer) as she reflects on why health matters on and off the court.

Parker currently works as a WNBA on Prime analyst, serves as president of Adidas Women’s Basketball, and holds a stake as part-owner of the NWSL’s Angel City FC.

“Women’s sports are at the center of culture, and conversations about health belong there too,” said Lina Polimeni, Lilly’s senior vice president and consumer CMO, in a statement.

This isn’t Lilly’s first move into women’s sports marketing. In May 2026, the company launched “Start How You Can” with Caitlin Clark. Lilly is also the jersey patch sponsor of Clark’s Indiana Fever. That relationship dates to July 2025, making Clark the brand’s first major athlete partner ahead of Parker.

For Parker, the Lilly spot lands amid a busy endorsement stretch. She appeared alongside Jayson Tatum in AT&T’s star-studded March Madness campaign, joined Chet Holmgren for Degree’s Clinical 5X launch, and narrated Gatorade’s Lower Sugar campaign starring Caitlin Clark.

Amazon’s WNBA rights run through an 11-year deal signed in 2024. The platform says it’s nearly sold out of WNBA and NWSL ad inventory this season, with multisport advertisers seeing notably stronger returns than single-sport campaigns.

Takeaways

Lilly is treating Parker less like a spokesperson and more like connective tissue; her post-playing identities as owner, executive, and analyst do the work of showing a 150-year-old company can still evolve.

It’s also a sign of the moment: with Amazon nearly sold out of WNBA and NWSL inventory, brands aren’t just buying ad slots anymore; they’re commissioning custom, talent-driven storytelling to stand out.

Does leaning on Parker’s post-playing career make Lilly’s message land harder than a standard athlete testimonial would? Could this push other healthcare or pharma brands to follow Lilly into women’s sports marketing?
