Natalie Portman is back in the world of Miss Dior. On August 6, 2026, Dior relaunched its signature fragrance with a new eau de parfum and campaign starring the actress, who has fronted the scent since 2010.
This is her eighth turn as the face of Miss Dior, a role that has grown alongside her career for nearly a decade and a half.
The new bottle wears a redesigned houndstooth ribbon bow, a nod to the pattern Christian Dior introduced in his 1947 “New Look” collection.
The bow is now personalizable in four woven expressions, crafted with historic ribbon house Julien Faure. Inside, the reformulated scent leans into centifolia rose, vanilla, tonka bean, and milky sandalwood.
For the campaign film, longtime collaborator Manu Cossu directed Portman through the streets of Paris, dressed by Dior’s new creative director Jonathan Anderson in a pale floral moiré bow blouse and skirt. Photographer Lachlan Bailey shot the stills.
The short film is soundtracked by Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe,” pairing the fragrance’s “youth and hope” theme with one of pop’s biggest recent anthems.
Portman’s relationship with Dior predates Anderson’s arrival by well over a decade; she’s served as Dior’s beauty ambassador since January 2011, making her one of the house’s longest-running faces alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, who has repped Dior since 2013.
She’s also fresh off a March 2026 deal naming her Tiffany & Co.’s global brand ambassador, a partnership that debuted with a campaign film during the 98th Academy Awards.
The relaunch lands amid a broader ambassador push at Dior under Anderson, who has added roughly ten new faces to the house since January, including LaKeith Stanfield and Josh O’Connor for the Fall/Winter 2026 campaign, and on the beauty side, Jenna Ortega and Jisoo.
Takeaways
Portman’s Miss Dior run is almost unheard of in celebrity-endorsement terms: 15-plus years and eight campaigns, spanning three different Dior creative directors. That kind of longevity turns a fragrance into a legacy asset rather than a seasonal ad buy.
It’s also a signal about how Jonathan Anderson is handling the transition at Dior. Rather than sweeping the house clean, he’s folding an existing legacy ambassador into his own creative vision, styling her personally for the first time.
And Portman herself is having a stacked commercial year: Tiffany & Co., Dior, and two major upcoming film releases, a reminder that top-tier actresses can now juggle multiple luxury deals at once without diluting any one of them.
Can a fragrance built almost entirely around one face survive a future without Natalie Portman? Does Anderson styling Portman himself suggest he’s putting his personal stamp on Dior’s legacy campaigns, not just its new signings?
