Timeframe for booking Artists
Hi,
We have an event coming up in 12 months.
Does it make it sense to contact booking agents 1 year beforehand, considering the fact that there are awards, albums, tours and etc. to get a rough price?

Hi Kamran,
from my point of view it is not too early, some celebrities are booked more than 1 year beforehand. It would be useful if you have all details regarding the event before contacting agents.

Hi Kamran,
Hope all is well. I believe they can’t give you a clear answer a year beforehand, so 3-4 months before the event would be the best time to contact agent and send all relevant details (time, venue, location, budget, etc).

I feel you should not do that because … you never know what can happen in those 12 months and in this industry artist come & go so if you are looking for a major artist you never know who ill still have the popularity to bring out a crowd to where you make profit
