How do i get a artist to come perform at a non profit event
Hey Everyone,
We are a nonprofit organization and would like to know if we need to offer a celebrity money to join our cause?
Thanks.
Hi Michael,
Hope all is well. First of all, you’ll need a compelling reason for why the celeb should be involved with your non-profit when you contact their representative. Even for non-profit school event, you need to offer a mutually beneficial agreement. Let the celebrity know how your event will fit with their public image.
You need to have a clear plan which method of celebrity involvement makes the most sense for your event. For example, it’s much easier to get a celebrity involved in non-profit events through speaking arrangements (discussion panels) than for live performances. Even if the celebrity you’d like to negotiate with is known to be participating in school events, you usually must go through their representative first. Treat them with courtesy. Make sure to get everything in writing that the celebrity is committing to doing for your event. That way there are no confusions or disappointments about exactly what you will get.
Have a great day and good luck with your project!
Maja
thank you
Hi Michael,
First and beneficial step is to research for artists who match your mission and previously supported similar cause. After that you should reach out to their agent or manager.
I believe this article can answer a lot of your question.
