Lee Ji Eun (who’s popularly known as IU) is a South Korean singer, songwriter and dancer who was born on May 16th 1993 in Seoul, South Korea. She was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea.

IU rose to fame on the rockets on her hit albums which included 2011’s Last Fantasy and 2013’s Modern Times. She also collaborated with Min Yoongi on the well known track Eight. Some of her songs have been used as movie soundtracks and she has also covered songs by other South Korean singers like Super Juniors and Girls’ Generation. Her other well known albums include Growing Up (2013), Palette (2017) and Lilac (2021).
