Dre McKenzie is a Jamaican A&R. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and he moved to the U.S. to study at the Williams College, in Williamstown, Massachusetts. He started his career at Universal Records working on projects from artists like Lil’Wayne, Hot Boys and Erika Badu, among others. A good friend of him, Dino Delvaille moved on to become SVP at Sony BMG Entertainment and in 2004 he requested for McKenzie to become junior A&R on the company. McKenzie started working on projects of artists like Beyonce, John Legend, Omarion and many more. His next job was as Head of A&R at G Unit Records, the American record label founded in 2003 by rapper 50 Cents. He has also managed artists like Young Buck from Interscope Records.
