Phil Collins is a well-known British singer, songwriter, drummer, producer and actor born in Chiswick, Middlesex, England, UK on January 30, 1951 as Phillip David Charles Collins. He is considered one of the most prominent pop and soft rock artists of recent times. He began his career when he was very young, participating as an actor in some memorable movies, he also played drums at school. He soon joined the bands Freehold and Flaming Youth, with whom he recorded a highly successful album. In 1975, Collins joined the band Genesis, releasing the following year the album “A Trick of the Tail”. In 1981, he recorded his debut solo album “Face Value”, earning worldwide acclaim. He had a side project with a jazz fusion group called Brand X, with whom he recorded the album “Unorthodox”. Collins has won two Golden Globe Awards and one Oscar Award for Best Original Song. During his career, Collins has sold more than 200 million records, counting those of his career with Genesis, alongside whom he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
