Scarface has signed with global music agency THE·TEAM for worldwide live music and touring representation. Agent Matthew Elam will handle bookings for the Houston rap icon, who previously was represented by Adler Music Group. Pallas Management Group and The Santiago Firm stays on board for management.

Born Brad Terrence Jordan, Scarface built one of the most respected careers in hip-hop, rising to prominence as a member of the Geto Boys before launching a solo run that produced 12 studio albums, including landmark projects The Diary (1994) and The Fix (2002).

He also served as President of Def Jam South from 2000 to 2005, where he helped launch the career of Ludacris. The Source has ranked him among the Top 50 Lyricists of All Time.

His 2023 NPR Tiny Desk Concert went viral and reignited widespread conversations about his legacy. In October 2024, he made a triumphant appearance at the Paid in Full Foundation’s Grandmaster Awards gala in Las Vegas, walking the stage in a tuxedo just six weeks after undergoing life-saving open-heart surgery. It was a remarkable moment of resilience for the icon, who also survived a kidney transplant in 2021 following COVID-related kidney failure.

The move to THE·TEAM places Scarface alongside a growing hip-hop roster at the agency. THE·TEAM has been building significant momentum in the urban space, having recently signed Houston rapper Tobe Nwigwe and R&B star Ella Mai to worldwide deals.

Takeaways

This is a significant upgrade in touring infrastructure for one of hip-hop’s most enduring figures. After years with Adler Music Group, a boutique agency well-suited for an artist rebuilding stage presence, moving to THE·TEAM signals that Scarface is ready to operate at a global scale again.

Having survived major health battles and received renewed critical recognition off the back of his viral Tiny Desk Concert, the timing makes sense.

THE·TEAM brings the infrastructure, international relationships, and cross-disciplinary Artist Services division to match the ambition of a legacy act with real momentum behind him.

Could this signing set the stage for a new Scarface album announcement and accompanying world tour? Does Scarface’s post-health-scare comeback story make him one of the most compelling live acts to book right now? Could this deal open doors to international markets (Europe, Africa, the Caribbean) where Southern hip-hop legends remain deeply revered but have historically been underbooked?
