- Select Management Group has promoted talent manager Paul Luckenbaugh to Head of Theatrical Talent, a newly created role.
- Luckenbaugh, a Select manager since 2018, keeps his existing client roster while building out the agency's film and TV representation.
- The promotion follows a busy 2026 for Select's leadership bench, including Partner promotions for Brittany Maxwell and Caroline Nardilla.
- It reflects a wider industry pattern of agencies carving out new senior titles as Hollywood and the creator economy keep merging.
Select Management Group has given talent manager Paul Luckenbaugh a newly created title: Head of Theatrical Talent. Select built its name representing digital creators, but the agency says film and TV have become a bigger priority as Hollywood and the creator economy keep converging.
Luckenbaugh joined Select in 2018. He’ll keep managing his current roster, including Gigi Gorgeous, Eva Gutowski, and Shay Rose, who collectively reach more than 100 million followers, while expanding theatrical opportunities across Select’s wider client base.
The new role lets Luckenbaugh keep building Select’s presence at the crossroads of Hollywood and the creator economy. Select partners Lisa Filipelli, Brittany Maxwell, Caroline Nardilla, and Amy Neben called him “the ideal leader for our theatrical division.”
The move caps a busy stretch of internal promotions at Select, which elevated Maxwell and Nardilla to Partner earlier in 2026 and promoted four more staffers in March.
Takeaways
Select just formalized something a lot of “next-gen” management firms have been dancing around: a real, titled pipeline into film and TV, rather than treating scripted work as a side deal for influencer clients.
Handing that job to someone already 100M-followers deep in the digital side, rather than poaching a traditional agent, is a bet that the bridge-builder skill set matters more than a pure Hollywood résumé right now.
Will Select hire outside agents into the theatrical division, or grow it entirely from within? Does this push more of Select’s influencer roster toward scripted TV and film auditions?
