Luke Newton has locked in dual agency representation on both sides of the Atlantic. The Bridgerton star has signed with Verve Talent & Literary Agency for US Film/TV theatrical representation and Conway Van Gelder Grant for UK Film/TV theatrical representation.

At Verve, Newton is repped by partners J.R. Ringer and Josh Rahm. In the UK, agents Alice Smith and Georgie Davies lead his representation at Conway Van Gelder Grant.

Newton, who previously held US representation at Select Management Group under Emily Rifanburg before the Verve move, is best known for playing Colin Bridgerton opposite Nicola Coughlan on Netflix’s Bridgerton, with Season 5 currently in production.

He began his career in the original West End cast of The Book of Mormon, before landing series regular roles on Disney Channel’s The Lodge and BBC’s Mr Selfridge.

Most recently, Newton originated the title role in the Off-Broadway production House of McQueen in New York City and starred in a sold-out run of The Shape of Things at London’s Park Theatre.

Just as Omari Hardwick’s recent signing with Verve reflected the agency’s growing appetite for versatile dramatic talent, Newton’s deal underscores Verve’s continued momentum. J.R. Ringer was recently elevated to partner at the agency alongside a broader talent team expansion.

Meanwhile, Conway Van Gelder Grant, home to Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonathan Bailey, added Melissa George to its roster earlier in 2026, demonstrating its ongoing pull for internationally active British talent.

Up next, Newton stars opposite Lucy Hale in White Mars, an Antarctic sci-fi horror directed by Martin Owen, and voices a lead role in animated feature Viana: The Legend of Golden Hearts alongside Daniela Melchior. He continues with Multitude Media for UK publicity and Narrative PR for US publicity.

Takeaways

This is a career-defining infrastructure move for Newton. He’s not just riding the Bridgerton wave, he’s building a foundation around it.

Signing with Verve and Conway Van Gelder Grant simultaneously signals a deliberate push into film, with the White Mars sci-fi thriller and Viana animation already in the pipeline to support that pivot.

On the Verve side, J.R. Ringer’s recent promotion to partner means Newton lands in the hands of one of the agency’s most ascending figures, someone already building a roster of next-gen talent including Bloodaxe‘s Levi Miller and Dark Matter‘s Oakes Fegley.

And CVGG’s roster, think Cumberbatch, Bailey, and now Newton, tells you everything about where this agency sits in British acting’s elite tier.

With Bridgerton Season 5 still shooting and a sci-fi film already in the can, is Newton quietly positioning himself as one of the UK’s most bankable leading men in Hollywood? Does landing with Conway Van Gelder Grant, home to Jonathan Bailey, who made a similar leap from Bridgerton to global stardom, hint at the blueprint Newton’s team is following?
