Legendary R&B quartet Jodeci has officially signed with Day After Day Music for worldwide live music and touring representation. Founder and CEO Seth Shomes will personally guide the group’s live touring operations.

The announcement coincides with Jodeci’s upcoming 36-city 2026 U.S. tour celebrating the 35th anniversary of their hit 1991 debut album, Forever My Lady. The tour kicks off on Oct. 24 at The Masonic in San Francisco.

Formed in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jodeci became one of the most influential R&B groups of the 1990s. Released through Uptown Records in May 1991, Forever My Lady peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard 200, propelled by the single “Come & Talk to Me,” which reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The group followed up with 1993’s Diary of a Mad Band, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with top 40 hits “Cry for You” and “Feenin’.” Their third studio set, 1995’s The Show, the After Party, the Hotel, debuted at No. 2 and featured “Freek’n You,” which reached No. 14 on the Hot 100.

Jodeci’s highest-charting single was their 1993 cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Lately” from Uptown MTV Unplugged, peaking at No. 4 on the Hot 100.

Jodeci previously reunited in 2015 for the studio album The Past, the Present, the Future, released by Epic Records. For the 35th anniversary of Forever My Lady, Universal Music Group re-released the album on July 17 with an expanded vinyl version.

In a joint statement, group members K-Ci Hailey and Mr. Dalvin shared that the tour is dedicated to fans who stood by them from day one. Seth Shomes emphasized that Jodeci serves as “the blueprint for modern R&B.”

The signing builds on Day After Day Music’s roster growth, following recent additions like Bow Wow and Don McLean. The move follows other major 2026 R&B live representation deals, including Ella Mai signing with THE·TEAM, Jamila Woods partnering with ROAM, and Mya joining WME.

Takeaways

The timing of Jodeci’s new partnership with Day After Day Music highlights a broader trend across the concert industry: classic 1990s R&B acts leveraging major debut milestones into powerful touring franchises.

By synchronizing a massive 36-city tour with Universal Music Group’s physical vinyl reissue of Forever My Lady, Jodeci and agency head Seth Shomes are successfully bridging vinyl nostalgia with multi-generational live ticket demand.

At the same time, Day After Day Music’s ongoing roster expansion, adding Jodeci alongside acts like Bow Wow and Don McLean, demonstrates how agile boutique agencies are capturing high-value heritage acts by providing dedicated, hands-on leadership from agency founders.

Will the success of this 35th-anniversary tour motivate Jodeci to record and release new studio material? How will boutique agencies like Day After Day Music shape legacy R&B touring packages moving forward? Could this tour lead to joint multi-artist 90s R&B package tours in late 2026 or 2027?
