- The launch marks Padilla's third year as a JAG ambassador and kicks off the brand's 50th-anniversary celebrations, including a walk at Manila Fashion Week this September.

Daniel Padilla is once again fronting JAG, this time for the brand’s new Denim Technology collection, launched August 1, 2026, as JAG enters what it’s calling its next chapter.
The line introduces three purpose-built fabrics: Armor Tech, a rugged 12oz denim for heavy wear; Cool Tech, a breathable 11oz option; and Cloud Tech, a lightweight 9–10oz fabric made for freedom of movement.
JAG Marketing Director Donnie Manaloto called it “the first expression of where we’re taking JAG,” with more product drops planned in the coming months.
For Padilla, the campaign extends a three-year run with the brand. “It’s about creating something na babagay talaga sa lifestyle ng tao ngayon — comfortable, functional, and easy to wear,” he said of the collection.
The rollout also sets up a bigger year for JAG, which turns 50 in 2026. The brand says it will present a runway show at Manila Fashion Week this September and unveil a new ambassador to join its roster, one that has previously included TV host and content creator Alex Gonzaga, who fronted JAG’s “AG” collection back in 2019.
Padilla, meanwhile, keeps adding to his endorsement roster. He became the new face of Cobra Energy Drink’s 20th-anniversary “Liwanag sa Dilim” campaign in April 2026, and remains an ambassador for Mossimo, where he became the brand’s first Filipino endorser back in 2022.
JAG’s move lands amid a broader wave of celebrity-fronted denim deals. Hollister recently tapped 16-year-old singer Freya Skye for its fall 2026 women’s denim campaign, while country-rock star Koe Wetzel just launched a men’s capsule with Rock & Roll Denim built around his Texas roots.
Takeaways
Three years in, JAG isn’t just renewing Padilla’s deal; it’s rebuilding an entire product line around him, which is a bigger bet than a standard ambassador refresh.
The Manila Fashion Week tease also suggests JAG wants cultural cachet, not just retail traffic, heading into its 50th year. And Padilla’s endorsement stack (JAG, Cobra, Mossimo) is starting to look less like scattered ad checks and more like a cohesive “everyday Filipino” brand identity.
Will JAG’s “new face” reveal at Manila Fashion Week share the runway with Padilla, or introduce fresh competition for his spotlight? Does tech-branded denim (Armor Tech, Cool Tech, Cloud Tech) actually move units, or is Padilla’s familiarity doing the heavy lifting?
