About Radio Slave
Matt Edwards and Serge Santiago formed the duo known as Radio Slave in 2000. They quickly produced bootleg electro-house remixes of many different artists, including Nancy Sinatra, Kylie Minogue, Busta Rhymes, and Limp Bizkit. Such works got quickly disseminated given the peculiarities of the Internet at the time, which led to the duo receiving their first attention from bloggers and webzines. In 2002, Santiago, who had produced about 30 remixes, left to pursue his own interests, leaving Edwards as the sole owner of the Radio Slave moniker. Tracks like "My Bleep," "Modena," "Screaming Hands," and "Bell Clap Dance" became underground favourites and got mostly good reviews over the next few years, making Edwards one of the most famous electronic dance music producers of the second half of the 2000s.
