Who to contact to hire a producer ? Managers or agents?
As an artist/producer I’m looking for the right guy to produce our new song. Who is usually in charge? The manager or the agent?
Neither, you have to go to the record label.

Hi Bernard,
Hope all is well. The role of the music producer is different from that of a typical recording artist, therefore their representation can look different from the traditional performer's. I would recommend you to contact the manager since he is in charge of the entire career of the client. Music producers usually only have a beat broker (promotes and shop the beats of the beatmaker/producer whom they represent), manager and lawyer. For hiring, I think most of the chances you will have if you negotiate with the management.
