I have left messages but no response. How realistic is it to have a celebrity on our cover for our new magazine?
@Mr Taivon Womack how do I get in touch with you?
It is very possible to book a celebrity for the cover of your magazine, whether you're a new publication or not. In regards to the lack of response, there are a few possible reasons. First, consider the type of celebrity you are trying to reach. As a newer magazine, it may be more difficult to book a really big star early on. Instead, try working with supporting actors and on-the-rise artists as a way of providing good content while gaining exposure. As your platform builds and your popularity increases, you'll be able to reach out to bigger stars. Other possible contributing factors for the lack of response are method of communication, time and information. The best way to communicate with a publicist is through email. Make sure that your inquiry email has a clear subject line and provides information about your publication as well as the interview (if applicable) and photoshoot logistics. Remember to be flexible as celebrities have busy schedules and a photoshoot requires them to meet in person. Also because of the COVID-19 pandemic, some celebrities may refuse any face-to-face meeting at this time.
