Yahir Othón Parra, better known by his first name Yahir, is a Mexican musical artist and actor who became famous after competing in the music reality show La Academia. He was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, on March 21, 1979. His discography includes the hit singles Alucinado, La Locura, No te apartes de mi, Llegaste A Mi Vida, and the albums Recuerdos, Elemental, After making a name for himself in the Mexican music scene, Yahir began his acting career in 2003 when he became a regular on the telenovela Enamórate. He has since acted in the telenovelas Soñarás, Quiéreme Tonto, and Mi marido tiene familia, but he is best known for starring in the telenovela Bellezas indomables alongside Marcela Ruiz Esparza, Carlos Torres, Cinthia Vazquez, and Claudia Álvarez.
