Walter Trout is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter who was born on March 6, 1951, in Ocean City, New Jersey. He began his career on the east coast in 1969, later moving to Los Angeles where he began working as a sideman for various artists, including John Lee Hooker, Percy Mayfield, Big Mama Thornton, and Joe Tex. In 1981 he joined the blues and rock band Canned Heat, with whom he played until 1984. After leaving the Canned Heat, he joined John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. He quitted the band in 1989 and decided to create his own band, which he called Walter Trout Band. Under this name, he released 8 albums, until in 1998 he created Walter Trout and the Free Radicals, with whom he released other 5 albums. In 2001 he changed the name of his act again, now being Walter Trout and the Radicals, with whom he released 5 new albums. He changed the name of his act once more, being now only Walter Trout and releasing other 11 albums.
