Visionist is the stage name of Louis Carnell, a British composer, electronic musician, producer and DJ. He is known for his highly experimental style, coupled with conceptual art work. He began his career releasing remixes of pop and R & B singles before he found a more personal and deeply experimental sound. He started dropping EPs on independent labels like Leisure System, Ramp and Keysound. His debut album “Safe” was a highly introspective and self-referential album, as the lyrics dealt with Carnell’s anxiety problems and panic attacks. Carnell has performed on stages alongside Arca, singer of Another Man and Evian Christ, among other artists. His second album “Value” featured Carnell’s voice, for the first time in his career. The visual art on the album was created by artist Peter De Potter, who is the designer behind Kanye West’s acclaimed “Life of Pablo”.
