Vassy, short for Vasiliki Karagiorgos, is an Australian singer and composer. She was born on the 15th of March, 1983, in Darwin, Northern Territory. She was brought up in a Greek family, originally from Florina. She began her career in the early 2000s, after she won song of the year for her single “We Are Young” which reached number 1 on the US Billboard Dance Chart. In 2014, they collaborated with Showtek and David Guetta on the single “Bad” which got certified platinum. During the following year, she collaborated with KSHMR and DJ Tiësto on the single “Secrets” which went on top of the Beatport Charts. She is also a long-time collaborator of Afrojack, and they have worked together on singles like “Lost”. Her music has been featured in video games, on several commercial ads and in the series “Grey’s Anatomy”.
