About Ugo Humbert
Ugo Humbert is a professional tennis player born in Metz, France, on June 26, 1998. He turned pro in 2016 and is coached by Nicolas Copin and Thierry Ascione. In 2020, he won his first ATP Tour title in Auckland, becoming the youngest French ATP champion since Richard Gasquet and the first Frenchman to win the Auckland title.
Ugo made his Grand Slam singles debut as a qualifier at the 2018 US Open, defeating Collin Altamirano. He defeated Alex De Minaur to win his second ATP title in Antwerp in October 2020. His third title and first ATP 500 was in June 2021 in Halle, upsetting Andrey Rublev in the final.
Ugo achieved his highest ranking of number 25 on June 21, 2021. He played in the first round of the French Open (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022) and the second rounds of the Australian Open (2021) and the US Open (2020) in men's singles. He defeated Gaël Monfils and Félix Auger-Aliassime to reach the fourth round of the 2019 Wimbledon. His biggest career win was against No. 2 Daniil Medvedev at the 2022 ATP Cup.
