Tyler Seguin was born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada on January 31, 1992. The Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League drafted him in 2008.

In the 2008-09 season he won the U17 WHC Gold Medal and an award for making the Most Assists.

Seguin was the round 1 #2 pick of the Boston Bruins in the 2010 draft. During the 2010-11 season, his team was the Stanley Cup champion. In 2012-13, he played for Team Canada which won the Spengler Cup. The Bruins traded him to Dallas Stars in 2013.

He was an All-Star Game pick in 2011-12 and from 2014-2018. After the 2017-18 season, he received a nomination for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy.

He also won a gold medal in the World Championship. He also made the most goals in the 2014-15 season.
