Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, Turkuaz is an American band that performs funk music. Turkuaz was formed in 2008 by members of the Berklee College of Music community, and they released their eponymous studio project Turkuaz in 2011. Their discography includes the hit singles Bubba Slide, Superstatic, European Festivity Nightmare, and the albums Future 86, Digitonium, and Life In The City. The group consists of Dave Brandwein on guitar and vocals, Taylor Shell on bass guitar, Craig Brodhead on guitar and keyboard, Michelangelo Carubba on drums, Chris Brouwers on trumpet and keyboard, Greg Sanderson on saxophone, Josh Schwarz on saxophone and vocals, Sammi Garett on vocals, and Shira Elias on vocals.
