The Zombie Kids is a DJ duo that consists of Edgar Candel Kerri and Cumhur Jay. Both musicians are disc jockeys and music producers with different musical and ethnic backgrounds. Edgar Candel Kerri was born in Barcelona, in 1979, and Cumhur Jay was born in Turkey, in 1980.
Candel Kerri's style is heavily influenced by rock and punk music, while Jay incorporates Hip-Hop, House, and Soul sounds into their music.
The band first became known in 2010, at the Lisbon festival called Rock in Rio, when they launched their debut single Face. After their initial success, the pair was invited to create the soundtrack for the romantic drama movie Tengo ganas de ti (2012).
After their engagement in the movie, The Zombie Kids signed their first contract with the record label Universal Music and recorded their first album The Zombie Kids, in 2012.
Their other known singles and collaborations include Mamajuana Rock, featuring GP BOYZ, My House Is Your House, featuring Mc Ambush, and Zombegz, a collaboration with Foreign Beggars, an English Hip-Hop group.
