The Marias are a soft rock band from LA, mixing soulful jazz with a hint of Latino rhythms for an authentically Los Angeles sound. The band is comprised of couple Maria (lead vocal, guitar) and Josh Conway (producer, drums), also recruiting Jesse Perlman (guitar), Carter Lee (bass), and Edward James (keyboard). The group started out with a Soundcloud demo, which was picked up by radio station KCRW’s “Eclectic 24“ and the “Anne Lit Show.”

Since then, The Marias have appeared on radio station KCRW’s “School Night.” Their double debut albums launched in 2017 and 2018, titled “Superclean Vol. I” and “Superclean Vol. II,” respectively. Their sound has been described by reviewers as “like pouring cream into coffee,” as their act is structured to evoke nostalgia and romanticism.
