The Frights is an indie rock band formed in 2012 in Sacramento, California. It consists of guitarist and singer Mikey Carnevale, bassist and vocalist Richard Dotson, and drummer Adam Lomnitzer. In March 2013, the band released its debut EP, “Dead Beach”. Two months later, a second EP followed, titled “Fur Sure.” 2013 also saw the release of the band’s self-titled debut album. It wasn't long before The Frights signed with indie label Dangerbird Records, and got Zac Carper from FIDLAR to produce their sophomore effort “You Are Going to Hate This”, released in February 2016. After a lineup change involving the recruitment of drummer Mark Finn, the band worked with Carper to release their first record on the Epitaph label, “Hypochondriac”. The LP went out in 2018 and was followed by the live album “Live at the Observatory”.
