Surfaces is an American pop duo formed in 2017 in College Station, Texas. It consists of singer-songwriters Forrest Frank and Colin Padalecki. While attending Texas A&M, Padalecki started posting his work online and received an invitation to join Frank to record in Seattle. In December 2017 the band issued their debut album “Surf”, and eventually their single “Be Alright” went viral and earned them a fan following. Surfaces went on tour to promote their release, and in 2019 released “Where the Light Is”, buoyed by the single “Sunday’s Best”. The band reached 28th place in Billboard’s pop chart with their third LP “Horizons” in 2020, and later that year Surfaces also made a collaboration with Elton John to release the single “Learn to Fly”.
