Strung Out is an American punk rock band formed in Simi Valley, California in 1990. The current members of the band are Jason Cruz on lead vocals, Jack Kiley on guitar, Rob Ramos on guitar, Chris Aiken on bass guitar, and RJ Shankle on drums. Their sound is described as a fusion of punk rock, heavy metal, and progressive rock. In 1994 they released their debut studio album titled Another Day in Paradise and were signed to the label Fat Wreck Chords. They have since released the albums Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues, Twisted by Design, An American Paradox, Exile in Oblivion, Blackhawks Over Los Angeles, Agents of the Underground, and Transmission.Alpha.Delta. They have also released three EPs, three compilation albums, and one live album.
