Spielbergs is a Norwegian indie-rock band formed in 2016 in Oslo. It initially consisted of schoolmates Mads Baklien and Christian Løvhaug, who later recruited Stian Brennskag. In 2018 the band recorded their first EP assisted by Tord Øverland Knudsen from the Norwegian new-wave revivalist band The Wombats. It was in these sessions that they acquired their name, after the famed Hollywood director. The “Distant Star” EP, as it was titled, came out in 2018 and received positive media attention. The band went on to make a full-length debut in 2019 with “This Is Not The End”. Later that year, the band released a second EP titled “Running All the Way Home” with the label “By The Time It Gets Dark.”
