Slade is a hard rock band formed in 1966 in Wolverhampton, England. The band comprises Dave Hill (guitar, vocals), John Berry (bass, violin, lead vocals), Russell Keefe (lead vocals, keyboards), and Alex Bines (drums). They are associated with Fontana, Polydor, Cotillion, RCA, CBS, Cheapskate, and Barn.

They released their debut album, Beginnings, in 1969. The following year, they released the sophomore, Play It Loud. They were known for several hit singles, including Coz I Luv You, Look Wot You Dun, Mama Weer All Crazee Now, Gudbuy t'Jane, Cum on Feel the Noize, Skweeze Me, Pleeze Me, Bangin' Man, Far Far Away, How Does it Feel, and In for a Penny. Tony Charles, George Tremlett, Chris Charlesworth, and Ian Edmundson have published Slade biographies.

In 1997, they issued a 21-track singles compilation, Feel the Noize: The Very Best of Slade. Their discography includes Old New Borrowed and Blue (1974), Slade in Flame (1974), Whatever Happened to Slade (1977), We'll Bring the House Down (1981), Till Deaf Do Us Part (1981), The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome (1983), Crackers - The Christmas Party Album (1985), You Boyz Make Big Noize (1987), and Keep on Rockin' (1994).
