Shannon Courtenay is a popular British boxer and former WBA female bantamweight title holder from Abbots Langley. She was born on July 3, 1993, to Jane Courtenay.

Nicknamed the Baby Face Assassin, Courtenay grew up with her mother, step-father Lee Courtenay, and her sister Harriet. She loved boxing from a young age and didn’t hesitate to make a career out of it. She made her boxing debut in March 2019 at the Copper Box Arena, London. She scored a four-round point decision victory over Cristina Busuioc. A month later, she defeated Roz Mari Silyanova, scoring a four-round point decision.

Courtenay continued to make waves in the boxing world, winning matches and recording TKOs. Her first professional defeat came in the match against Richard Ball on August 14 at the Matchroom Sport headquarters in Brentwood, losing by points decision over eight rounds. The defeat only made her stronger, as she bounced back to defeat Dorota Norek by TKO.

She battled Ebanie Bridges for the bantamweight title in April, 2021. Courtenay won via unanimous decision, after leaving her opponent seriously hurt. Her win made her a Bantamweight champion. However, she failed to defend her title six months later after failing to make her weight for the fight against Jamie Mitchell. Courtenay has participated in nine fights, won seven with three KO, and lost two.
