Scarlette Fever, born as Karen Louise Barrow on November 8th, 1981 in Hertfordshire, England is a British singer and songwriter that studied music growing up before launching her career. She is capable of playing multiple instruments who earned her living as a wedding singer prior to her rise to fame.
In 2011 Scarlette released her debut single “Crash and Burn.” The song was co-written with Alex Smith from Metrophonic and Tony Fennell. The song was played steadily on BBC Radio 2’s B-List. The song went on to be remixed by Jason Nevins and it reached number 2 on the Top 50 Dance charts in the US, including the Billboard Dance Club Breakers chart. In September of 2011 Scarlette released her second single called “Elated” and the EP called Medication Time. The song was featured as a Track of the Day on the website Popjustice and received more airplay on BBC Radio 2.
Scarlette released her next EP, The Great Expectations, in 2012. The single “Hour of Sunshine” came with both an original and remixed version on the EP. The music video for the single has received over 200,000 views on YouTube when it launched. In 2013 she released her next EP called Single White Female. The lead track, “Sunday’s Best,” has received major airplay on BBC Radio 2 from Richard Allinson, who plays the track on his Sunday morning talk show. Scarlette released a remix compilation in 2014 called Return of the Fever and The Fever Rides Again. The remix artists include production from K-Warren, 7th Heaven, and Jason Nevins.
