Dubstep and producer Rusko was born Christopher William Mercer on January 26, 1985 in Wheldrake, England. He studied music performance at Leeds College of Music and moved to London after being involved in the “Sub Dub” event to pursue a career producing dubstep.

He worked for the record label Sub Soldiers and released the album “FabricLive 37” with Caspa in 2007. He signed with Mad Decent to release the 2010 album, “O.M.G!” and 2012’s “Songs.” “Songs” reached number ten on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and number six on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. He has remixed songs by Katy Perry, Adele, Kelis, and Kid Cudi, among many others.
