Robert Irvine was born on September 24, 1965 in Salisbury, United Kingdom. His career as a chef began at the age of fifteen when he joined the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy and he served on the Queen’s Royal Yacht Britannia. He later worked as the Executive Chef at Donald Trump’s Taj Mahal and then at the MS Crystal Harmony.

He has hosted and starred in Food Network’s Dinner: Impossible, Restaurant: Impossible, Worst Cooks in America, and Restaurant Express. He has also guest starred on Iron Chef America with Tyler Florence. He has a line of foods, spices and oils. A portion of the proceeds from his line supports the United States military. In 2007 his first book, Mission: Cook! was published. He opened two restaurants in Hilton Head, South Carolina, Robert Irvine’s Eat! And Robert Irvine’s Nosh. Both restaurants have closed. In July, 2017 he opened a restaurant in Las Vegas, Robert Irvine’s Public House.

His celebrity does not stop at being a chef. In 2007 Men’s Fitness magazine named him one of the “25 Fittest Guys in America”. In 2011 he began writing a regular column for Muscle and Fitness magazine. He published a book called Fit Fuel: A Chef’s Guide to eating Well, Getting Fit, and Living Your Best Life. Using the concepts from his book, a magazine was launched in 2016 called Robert Irvine Magazine. He now has a show on the CW called The Robert Irvine Show. His show focuses on resolving conflicts between the guests on the show.
