Ricky Martin is a Puerto Rican songwriter, singer, actor and music producer. He was born Enrique Martín Morales on the 24th of December, 1971, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Martín began his career as a teenager with the boy band Menudo, alongside Draco Rosa and several other singers. After five years with the band, Martín pursued a solo career. He moved to Mexico City where he joined the cast of the show “Alcanzar una Estrella”. In 1990, he was signed to Sony Discos and he released his self-titled solo debut album the year later. His third album “A Medio Vivir” included his breakthrough single “Maria” which reached number one in several countries like Germany, Spain and Belgium. A few months later, he released the world-wide hit single “Livin’ La Vida Loca” which debuted at number 1 on the U.S. Singles Chart. Overall, he has released over 8 albums, and he has collaborated with major artists like Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony and Enrique Iglesias.
