Solomon Samuel Simone, better known as Raz Simone, is an American rapper and songwriter who performs hip-hop music. He was born in Seattle, Washington, United States, on January 15, 1990.

Raz was initially drawn to Poetry growing up as he didn’t listen to music much. He was speaking words over movie scores that sounded like he was rapping. In 2012 he partnered with Black Umbrella’s Sam Lachow to record a 5-song EP 5 Good Reasons and it was a hit. The release got them touring. Raz then followed up the success with his debut solo EP Solomon Samuel Simone. He is best known for his 2014 hit Cognitive Dissonance: Part 1 and the 2015 follow-up Cognitive Dissonance: 2. His other 2015 releases were Macklemore Privilege & Chief on Keef Violence and Baby Jesus.
