About Rachel Allen
Rachel Allen is a chef, culinary writer, TV personality, and businesswoman born in Dublin, Ireland, on October 11, 1972. She had culinary training at the Ballymaloe Cookery School in County Cork, Ireland. Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ) broadcast her first series, Rachel's Favorite Food, in 2004. The book Rachel's Favorite Food followed it.
Rachel has published several cookbooks, including Entertaining at Home, Soup Broth Bread, Coast: Recipes from Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, and Recipes from My Mother. She has written for the Sunday Independent, The Irish Mail on Sunday, the Sunday Tribune, Delicious, and Image. She has contributed to BBC Good Food and AWT At Home magazines.
Rachel designed a product line for Tipperary Crystal. She co-hosted The Restaurant with Marco Pierre White for RTÉ. Rachel has appeared on Saturday Morning with James Martin, Paul Hollywood's Pies & Puds, and The Michael Ball Show. She received an Honorary Doctorate in Science from the University of Ulster in July 2012.
