QUIX is the stage name of the New Zealand electronic DJ and record producer Jono Schnell. He was born in Auckland, New Zealand on November 8, 1994. At 9 years old, he started getting into music and played in several bands. At 14 years old, he started producing electronic music. In 2015 he started uploading his music under the stage name QUIX. He was noticed by the producer Party Thieves and signed with a management company. In 2017 he released his debut EP titled Heaps Cool through Steve Aoki’s record label Dim Mak. That same year he played at the massive EDM festival Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. He released his second EP in 2018 titled Illusions. The EP featured collaborations with the artists Aviella, Bok Nero, and David Shane. QUIX has also collaborated with the artists Gucci Mane, KRANE, Boombox Cartel and others.
