Primus is an alternative band which was formed in San Francisco, California in 1986. The current members of the band are Tim “Herb” Alexander, Les Claypool, and Larry “Ler” LaLonde. The band’s latest album is The Desaturating Seven which was released in 2017.
The band released Frizzle Fry in 1990 and the next year, they went on to drop the album Sailing the Seas of Cheese which includes the singles Tommy the Cat and Jerry Was a Race Car Driver. Another album, Pork Soda, came in 1993. Other albums by the band include Brown Album, Antipop, Primus & The Chocolate Factory with The Fungi Ensemble and Green Naugahyde.
The deluxe edition of Sailing the Seas of Cheese received a Grammy nomination for Best Surround Sound album in 2013.
