He graduated from Siberian Federal University with a degree in Physical Culture and Sport. Petr started his career as a boxer achieving the ranking of master in sport as a 64KG competitor. Petr rose to fame as a bantamweight fighter, signing to the UFC in June 2018. His famous victory over Jin Soo Son won him his second Fight of the Night honor. He is also known for winning the Absolute Championship Berkut bantamweight title in April 2017 and successfully defending his title as well.
