Paul Reiser is an American writer, comedian, musician and actor. Hailing from New York City he majored in music from Binghamton University and has been working since 1982. Best known for his role as Michael Taylor in the 1980’s hit sitcom My Two Dads and Paul Buchman in the 1990’s sitcom Mad About You. He also played Carter Burke in the hit film Aliens alongside Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn.
More recently the actor has played Doug Getty in the hit Amazon TV series Red Oaks and Dr Sam Owens in acclaimed the Netflix original series Stranger Things, where he works alongside Winona Ryder, Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton. Nominated for eight awards during his time in Mad About You, Reiser won a Quality Television Award for Best Actor in a Quality Comedy Series.
