Nicolas Claxton is a basketball player who currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets that competes in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on 17th April 1999 in Greenville, South Carolina, United States, Claxton played high school basketball for Legacy Charter School. He later played college basketball for the University of Georgia. He started his professional career with the Brooklyn Nets after being selected in the 2019 NBA draft with the 31st overall pick.
He made his debut for the Nets on 8th November against the Portland Trail Blazers. However, in January 2020, he was assigned to Long Island Nets. On 24th June, he underwent a successful arthroscopic labrum repair surgery and missed the rest of the 2019 – 20 season. The following season, the Nets traded Jarrett Allen to create space for Nicolas. In 2021, DeAndre Jordan was traded to create space for Nicolas in the starting lineup.
