Nicholas David Gordon Knight, popular as Nick Knight, is an influential fashion image-maker born November 24, 1958, in London, England. He is an alumnus of Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design. He founded the award-winning fashion film website SHOWstudio.com in 2000 to show the entire creative process from conception to completion.
Nick has collaborated with leading designers like Yohji Yamamoto, Kate Moss, John Galliano, and Alexander McQueen. He has produced ads for brands like Burberry, Chanel, Fendi, Christian Dior, Lancôme, Swarovski, Royal Opera House, Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, Mercedes-Benz, and Yves Saint Laurent.
His work has been exhibited at Tate Modern, Victoria & Albert Museum, Saatchi Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, MoMA, Hayward Gallery, and Albion Barn. In 2010, he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE). In 2022, he received the Master of Photography Award from Photo London.
Nick has worked with Vogue, W, i-D, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, David Bowie, Björk, and many more. His books include Skinheads (1982), Nicknight (1995), Nick Knight (2009), and Flora (2014).
