Nancy Whang is an American singer and musician best known for her work with The Juan MacLean and rock band LCD Soundsystem. She was born in Portland, Oregon in 1977. She has been labeled “a sort of Loleatta Holloway figure for the DFA era” for her many collaborations. She was featured on Shit Robot‘s album “From the Cradle to the Rave” in 2010 and on his third 2016 album “What follows” on the track “Lose Control”.

In 2015 LCD Soundsystem released the single “Christmas Will Break Your Heart”, their first single in five years.They later confirmed their reunion and announced a tour and a new studio album. “American Dream” was their fourth album, released in 2017. It became a number-one album in the United States and the band’s first number one album. It was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at thel Grammy Awards and also won Best Dance Recording with the single “Tonite”.
